IT'S ALL ABOUT THE AIR

Mechanical Contractors

Consider the following:
Our teams are paid upon completion of the installation provided:
The work passes all jurisdictional inspections.
All excess materials are removed from the jobsite.
The project is swept clean regardless of what clutter other trades may have left behind.

All team members are trained in and understand the latest codes.
All team members are trained in and adhere to OSHA standards.
In the past 14 years there has never been time lost due to injury to a team member.

Engineered Comfort crews are among the most professional and highly trained in the industry.

What else sets us above our competitors?
Our installers are not responsible for material delivery to the job site. Every community is
assigned a project manager who makes sure that the crews have all the materials needed to
complete a job. Unlike the competition where the installing sub has to go to the warehouse
and pick up the rough-in package and deliver it to the jobsite and if they are short, the sub has
to go back to the warehouse and pick up items needed to complete the work. How much time
are your projects losing due to this arrangement?

The project manager for your community watches each project's progress, and schedules a crew
to start the moment the job is ready. You don't have to call us to schedule. We call you!

We don't use "back out" crews. Some companies send subcontractors to install the rough-in and
then use a "back out crew" to complete the rough and call for inspection. This adds days to the
schedule and confusion to the project. We have one crew that starts and completes the installation
which eliminates finger pointing and arguments regarding who is responsible for what.

Our refrigeration techs are EPA certified and registered with the State. They know how to
properly charge and test the refrigerant circuit and balance the airflow to specifications. We don't
wait for your customer to complain about too warm or too cool rooms, we balance the system
using proper testing equipment at the time of final trim.

                                                     DESIGN

There is only one way to insure the comfort of your clients and that is to design it.

Most HVAC contractors use the square foot method such as 500 sq. ft. per ton. You've heard the conversation go something like this. "1800 sq. ft. that's about a 3 1/2 ton house but if you like I can give you a good deal on 4 tons just to be safe"

This illustration unfortunately is being played out on a daily basis. This is not "engineering", it's not even good guessing. It does you the builder harm in more ways than one. Not only does it eat at your profit margin, it costs the owner in excessive energy consumption, actually causes comfort complaints and worst of all, costs you your reputation. One of the single greatest sources of customer dissatisfaction is indoor comfort.

A properly built home with a properly designed and built HVAC system will never be the source of such complaints. We insist on doing it right. My dad used to tell me, "Son, if it's not worth doing right, it's not worth doing at all". To this day that is the guiding principle of our business. We will do it right or we won't do it at all.

We use the Manual J load calculation formulas, produced by the Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA) to properly determine the heating and cooling load of every home in which we install the HVAC system. We then use the Manual D to design the duct system and further, Manual S for selecting the proper equipment.

Believe me when I say this attention to detail and correct methodology does not cost, it pays.

One more of Dad's sayings. "If you can't afford to do it right, how will you afford to do it over"
